Is the club open to the public?
The Monticello Sportsmen Club is only open to the public for the Trap League shooting nights, fall rifle sight-ins, and 22lr events. See the club website calendar page for more information.

How do I become a member?
Currently the club has a waiting list as the club membership is capped at 300 shareholders. To inquire about shareholder membership please contact our club via the form on the contact page.

I'm a shareholder, how do I find out more of what's going on at the club?
First, be sure we have your current contact info for email address as the club occasionally send emails to members. Secondly, you may also check the club calendar page. Shareholders are also encouraged to attend board meetings typically held at 7:00 pm inside the clubhouse on the last Monday of the month . This provides a way to hear about club activities and operations.

Does the club sell ammo?
The club only sells shotgun shells for its weekly trap leagues which are open to the general public. However, you may also bring your own ammo to use for trap shooting.

Does the club provide firearm safety courses?
The club does not but several DNR trainers do use the club for their training. Check the club calendar for the dates and times these independent instructors have classes.

What permit to carry instruction does MSC provide?
MSC offers high quality training that qualifies for application for Minnesota Permit to Carry A Pistol with instruction through club members, Jon Thompson and Brian Cooper. Please see the training page for more information.

Can someone rent the club facilities for a special event?
Due to safety and insurance liability issues, the club facilities are generally not available for rent. However, properly insured certified firearms trainers, police officers and other agencies can arrange to use the shooting ranges. Please contact the club for more information.
